This Group comprises of eight Safety Matches Manufacturing factories, a Potassium Chlorate manufacturing factory, an Offset Printing Unit and Windmill Power Generators. All manufacturing facilities are located in and around Sivakasi, an industrial town. Three Windmill Power Generators have been operating in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli Districts.

Bilal Trading Agency, the first unit of the Group, was started for in 1984 by its founder Mr.M.S.NOOR MOHAMED for the exclusive buying and selling of Safety Matches.

The founder initially started Tiny & Small size Match factories with an average production of 2500 Bundles per month. By his hard work and tireless efforts, he laid the foundation stone for Bilal Match Works in 1993 in order to meet the rising demand from the domestic buyers.

The total number of Safety Matches manufacturing units has risen to eight now from one in 1993 and the installed capacity as of now is 150 Million Safety Matches per month. The Group is having sophisticated imported Printing Machines and Inner Box Machines for the uninterrupted supply of Inner and Outer Boxes.

The Potassium Chlorate manufacturing factory is situated at Thayilpatti near Sivakasi in the name of “Shifa Chemicals” for fulfilling own requirements for Safety Matches manufacturing apart from exports.
